OUR NEEDS. YOUR SUPPORT.
We're a non-profit that depends on donations to stay active. When we made the decision to make Dance With Us a free platform, we were advised to monetize this content, not give it away. While this may not make the best business sense and does not help balance the budget sheet, a large part of the Company's commitment to equity, inclusion, and access is making the best of our content available to the public. Dance With Us is a place for all to learn and we do not want to create barriers to this education. This expressed, the project is underfunded. At the time of the launch, July 2021, we are in significant need of monetary support. There is a smörgåsbord of unique and exclusive content on the site, which is only the first tier we have in our production pipeline! Your support helps us maintain ongoing costs, and allows us to deliver high-quality content that is useful, clear, instructive, and fun!

THE CLOSED CAPTIONING CAMPAIGN
In pursuit of Dance With Us's commitment to equity and access, the platform seeks to create custom Closed Captioning for the numerous narrated films on the new platform. There are one hundred and fifty of them! Non-customized software mangles names and terminology. If you have ever selected the CC option on a YouTube or Vimeo player you will understand. Customizing the captions for each video's narration is a time-consuming and expensive endeavor. We have been able to start this process as part of the initial launch, but we are far from reaching our goals. Your contribution can be earmarked specifically to support this initiative. This photograph demonstrates some of the sweetest fruits born from the collaborative efforts: a dozen elementary school students in Sheridan, Wyoming preparing for their performance in front of their community. Throughout two decades of programming Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company has stayed true to its mission of cultivating the creation of innovative art and presenting this to the public in interactive, accessible, and meaningful ways. During the Fall 2019 Wyoming Tour we had the opportunity to do this, impacting the local community in significant ways.Your support enables us to stay on stage, helps us bring students on stage, and helps us bring audiences to the theater’s seats. Now that the Dance With Us platform has launched, there is consistent work needed to maintain and expand the archives.
