Lydia Kelly is a NYC based actor, dancer, singer, born and raised in Syracuse, NY. Growing up, she was often found singing in her living room, dancing around the backyard, and going to her mother's play rehearsals after school. Lydia is passionate about sharing stories that explore and empower a range of female-identifying narratives. Some favorites include Medea in Medea, Hecuba in Trojan Women, and Charity in Sweet Charity. In May 2021, Lydia graduated from Ithaca College with a BFA in Acting and minors in dance and educational studies. During her college experience, Lydia was able to spend a semester in London, where she studied theatre, dance, stage combat, and intimacy coordination. Additionally, she attended the Statera Arts Conference in Milwaukee for the empowerment of women in theatre, which has inspired her as a theatre artist ever since. In her free time, Lydia can be found exploring the outdoors, cooking plant-based meals, or spending quality time with family and friends. Lydia is excited to share the Dance With Us Platform this month, as we look back on the moments of dance joy that brought us together in such an unprecedented year.
